Tips for better Christmas AI photo results

The same guide warns that repeated edits can still change what you meant to keep, so paste your keep line into every follow-up, not only the first prompt.

Put the fireplace where your light already is. In its outfit-swap example, OpenAI's guide asks for the new clothes to match the original photo's lighting, shadows and color temperature. The same goes for a fire or a tree: if a window lit your selfie from the right, put the fire or the tree lights on the right too, and ask for warm light only if your photo already has it.

Start from a sharp photo with a big face. A selfie at arm's length gives the editor more of your face to keep than a group shot from across the room. For group photos, crop in so faces fill more of the frame before you upload.

Count the people. Write "all four of us" or "both of us", then count heads on the result. For a busy setting such as a Christmas market, add "no other people in the scene" if you want it to be only you.

One change per edit. Swap the background first, then the outfit, then add text. If a face changes, you'll know which instruction did it.
