The starter pack AI trend is the job and hobby version of the AI action figure trend. BBC News reported on April 19, 2025 that, since the start of that month, people had been uploading their photos to get "starter pack" pictures of themselves as toys. The earlier BBC coverage of the doll trend described what made them personal: a list of accessories, a box color, and the person's name and job.

How a good starter pack AI prompt is built
The accessories decide whether a starter pack lands. "A coffee mug" fits every job on earth. "A lockbox key and a stack of open house sign-in sheets" can only be a real estate agent. Build the prompt from five parts:
- Title. "The [job or hobby] Starter Pack", up to 40 characters so it fits Toy Studio's "Name on the box".
- Accessories. Three or four objects that insiders would laugh at, each named exactly.
- Outfit. What people in that role actually wear on a Tuesday.
- Card design. Two colors and one printed pattern that suits the theme.
- Likeness. The face details that must survive: glasses, freckles, a beard, a hairstyle.

The flat starter pack meme, no figure
A flat starter pack has no toy at all: a white page with photos of objects and a short label under each. Toy Studio needs your photo and makes a toy from it, so for the flat version use Image Generator with no photo and turn on "Enhanced quality" (+45 credits), which is meant for images with words. Tips for better starter pack results
Use the swap test on every accessory. If an item would fit any job, replace it. A stethoscope is a nurse; a lanyard alone could be anyone.
Keep the title under 40 characters. "The Kindergarten Teacher Starter Pack" is 37, which fits Toy Studio's "Name on the box". Shorten longer ones to "The Teacher Starter Pack".
Name things plainly, without brands. Write "a generic game controller" or "an energy drink can with a plain label". Google's prompting guide for Nano Banana suggests naming the exact material and detail you want, such as "navy blue tweed" rather than "a suit jacket", which works for accessories too.
Stop at four accessories. Every extra item makes the others smaller on the card, and a lanyard or a receipt the size of a fingernail is hard to recognize.
Give the figure a real pose. "Mid-swing", "holding the paddle up" or "sipping from the mug" reads better than a stiff front-facing stance.
