Pressure washing flyers end up on door knobs, in neighborhood mailers, on community boards and in HOA newsletters, and the homeowner holding one can always rent a machine instead. A flyer that lists what you clean, what it costs to start, and a real photo of a driveway you cleaned answers the first questions before anyone calls. You'll get the lines to print, wording for seasonal and neighbor offers, tips on before and after photos, door hangers and mailers, sizes, and the steps in Flyer Maker. Trades beyond exterior cleaning have their own pages under small business flyers.
What to put on pressure washing flyers
Write these down before you pick a design. Biggest text at the top:
Must have
- The service and a starting price, as the headline. "Driveways From $129" beats a company name in big letters.
- Your service list with starting prices. Driveway, sidewalk, house soft wash, deck, fence, patio. Five or six lines at most.
- The size each price covers. "Up to 2 cars", "single story". It keeps quotes close to the flyer.
- Where you work. Neighborhoods, ZIP codes or a distance: "within 15 miles of Garnet Road".
- How to get a quote. "Text a photo of the area for a free estimate" suits this trade, because the surface and size set the price.
- A phone number in large type. A door hanger gets read in someone's hand on the porch, so the number has to be readable there.
- One real before and after photo of your own work, if you have one.
Optional
- A neighbor deal. "$25 off each home when 3 homes on one street book the same day."
- What you carry. Insurance or a license, printed only if it's true, with the details you'd show on request.
- What the homeowner does before you arrive. "Move cars, close windows, bring pets inside. We use your outdoor spigot."
- Seasonal timing. "Booking spring washes now" or "Clean before holiday guests arrive."
- Bundles with a lawn or gutter service you partner with.
Pressure washing flyer ideas and wording
These pressure washing flyer examples use invented prices. Adjust them to your market.
| Occasion | Headline | Supporting line |
|---|---|---|
| Spring house wash | "Spring House Washing, Booking Now" | "Soft wash for siding, single story from $249" |
| Driveway special | "Driveways From $129" | "Up to 2 cars. Oil stains treated for $20 more." |
| Neighbor deal | "Neighbors Save $25 Each" | "Book 3 homes on the same street, same day" |
| Deck and fence prep | "Clean It Before You Stain It" | "Deck or fence wash from $159. We'll tell you when it's dry enough to stain." |
| Before holiday guests | "Clean Driveway for the Holidays" | "Book by Saturday, November 14 for a wash before Thanksgiving" |
| Home for sale | "Curb Appeal Before the Listing Photos" | "Driveway, walkway and front steps, done in one morning" |
| Commercial | "Storefront and Sidewalk Cleaning Before You Open" | "Monthly plans from $99 per visit" |
| Community day | "Juniper Street Wash Day" | "One truck, one Saturday, lower prices for every home on the street" |
Before you print, check the wording:
- Say "from" and the size. "From $129 for up to 2 cars" is a promise you can keep.
- Name the street on neighbor flyers. "Now booking on Juniper Street" tells the reader you're already working nearby.
- Name your method for siding and roofs. If you soft wash, print "soft wash" so homeowners know what to expect on their siding.
Pressure washing pairs well with nearby trades. A lawn service can hand out your flyer in its spring mailer, and the lawn care flyer page covers season packages. A handyman flyer sells small repairs, such as the loose deck board you spot during a wash, and a cleaning business flyer covers the inside of the same homes.
Before and after photos and other claims
A real before and after photo shows the result a homeowner is paying for, so keep it honest.
Shoot both photos the same way. Same spot, same angle, same time of day. Let the surface dry before the after shot, since wet concrete looks darker than dry.
Never use an AI-made result. Use only your own real before and after photos. A generated "after" photo, or a real one edited to look cleaner, shows work you didn't do. For the same reason, Flyer Maker's Photos setting isn't the place for a driveway: it draws a new picture. Pick Illustration or a plain color design there instead.
Add text to your real photos in Smart Editor. Smart Editor (Pro plan) edits one photo per run and can't combine two, so put the before and after side by side in one image with a photo layout app first. Upload that one image and type the flyer text, such as "Add the headline 'Driveway Cleaning From $129' across the top and '555-0183' at the bottom. Keep both photos exactly as they are." Each edit redraws the whole image, so compare the concrete in the result with your original photos, and don't use it if the result looks cleaner than the job.
Check before you offer paint prep on older homes. Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint, and paid work that disturbs it comes with its own training and certification steps. If your flyer offers paint stripping or prep for repainting, check what applies to your business before you advertise it, or leave that service off.
Door hangers, mailboxes and mailers
Keep flyers out of mailboxes. Mailboxes are for stamped mail, and that includes anything set on the box, taped to it or hung from it. Hang the flyer on the door knob instead, or mail it with postage.
Plan the door hanger shape around the tool. Vistaprint's door hangers come in 3.5 x 8.5 and 4.5 x 11 inches, with optional perforation 2 inches from the bottom. Flyer Maker has no door hanger shape. At 4.5 inches wide, a Tall (3:4) design is exactly 6 inches high, so it fills the middle of a 4.5 x 11 hanger with room above for the knob hole and a 2-inch tear-off coupon below. Place it in your printer's door hanger template.
Mail a letter-size flyer, not a half sheet. With Every Door Direct Mail Retail, USPS drops a piece at each address along the carrier routes you select, 200 to 5,000 pieces per day per ZIP Code. A piece counts as an EDDM Retail flat when one side runs over 10.5 inches long or over 6.125 inches high, or the piece is over 0.25 inch thick, and it can weigh up to 3.3 ounces. An 8.5 x 11 flyer qualifies on its 11-inch side; a 5.5 x 8.5 half sheet meets none of the three. As of September 2026, EDDM Retail postage is $0.26 per piece.
Design tips for pressure washing flyers
Make the price list readable at the door. A homeowner reads a door hanger at arm's length on the porch. Set the services as a short menu: job name, then its "from" price on the same line.
Use one before and after pair. One driveway, before and after, reads from across a room. Six small photos read as clutter.
Use water colors with one accent. Blue and white fit a water service; one accent color (yellow or orange) on the prices keeps them from blending in.
Put the coupon below the perforation. On a perforated door hanger, the 2-inch tear-off strip can carry the neighbor deal and your phone number, so the piece a homeowner tears off and keeps has your number on it.
Give the board version phone tabs. Describe a row of tear-off strips with your number at the foot of the flyer, and Flyer Maker can lay them out. Check that every tab shows the full number.
Pressure washing flyer sizes and printing
Plan three sizes:
| Where it goes | Size | Pixels at 300 DPI | In Flyer Maker |
|---|---|---|---|
| Door hanger, middle panel | 4.5 x 6 in, on a 4.5 x 11 in hanger | 1350 x 1800 | Tall (3:4), 2K |
| Mailer or community board | Letter, 8.5 x 11 in | 2550 x 3300 | Tall (3:4), 4K |
| Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram | 4:5 portrait | Screen only | Portrait (4:5), 1K |
At 2K, the Tall shape is 1,536 x 2,048 pixels, more than the 4.5 x 6 inch panel needs at 300 pixels per inch. For printing, choose 2K or 4K. More sheet sizes are in the flyer size guide.

- Open Flyer Maker and type into "Describe your flyer". Give a quoted headline, each service with its starting price and size, your service area, the free estimate line and your phone number.
- Upload the logo from your truck or yard sign in "Add your logo". It's for a logo only; a design built around your own job photos goes through Smart Editor instead.
- Pick a Size. Tall (3:4) for door hanger panels and mailers, Portrait (4:5) for neighborhood apps and social posts.
- Open "More options". Business suits a service menu and Sale suits a neighbor deal. Choose Illustration, Geometric or Abstract pictures rather than Photos, and 2K or 4K Quality for print.
- Type your phone and website in "Contact info", then check each digit on the result. For boards, ask for number tabs in the description.
- Select "Create flyer". It takes around 30 seconds.
- Read the prices and the phone number twice. One wrong digit on a door hanger costs you every call from that street. Type a fix into "Want to change something?" under the flyer (currently 60 credits, 70 for 2K, 90 for 4K), or rework the description and run it again.
