How to make a flyer on iPhone for free with Pages

Pages comes from Apple at no charge, and the App Store lists it as needing iOS 18 or later. Apple splits its templates into word processing and page layout. Flyers and posters are page layout documents, which means each block of text lives in a box you can drag around. Apple's Tab Flyer template is one of them.

1. Open Pages and tap Choose a Template in the document manager. If you don't see it, tap the Create Document button.
2. Tap a category along the top, then tap a flyer or poster design to open it.
3. Tap each placeholder line and replace it with your details: what's happening, the weekday and date, start and end times, the street address, and how people should reply.
4. To swap a photo, tap the Replace Image button at the lower right of the sample picture and pick one of yours.
5. Tap the Back button to return to your list of documents. Pages saves as you go, so rename the file to find it later.
6. To export, open the flyer, tap the More button, tap Export, then choose PDF for printing or Images for sharing. For images, higher quality means a larger file.
7. To print, tap More, then Print. Tap Printer to choose a nearby AirPrint printer if none is set yet, set the copies, and tap Print.

For a business flyer, photograph the product, the storefront or a finished job with your iPhone and drop it into the template's photo spot. Then list the offer, the date it ends, your address or service area, your hours, and a phone number. From the same Pages file, export a PDF for a letter-size window sign or half-page counter handouts (5.5 x 8.5 inches), and an image for Instagram, so every version carries the same end date.

How to make a flyer on Android

On Android, Canva and Adobe Express are both on Google Play and work the way they do on an iPhone. Google Docs is the plain option. Its app makes a document from a template in three steps:

1. Open the Google Docs app and tap New in the bottom corner.

Once the flyer exists, the iPhone's own tools handle the rest.

• Find a download. Anything you download from the web lands in the Files app's Downloads folder: open Files, tap Browse, tap iCloud Drive, then Downloads. In Safari, the Downloads button next to the search field lists them too.
• AirDrop it to a computer. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both devices and stay within 30 feet (10 meters). Tap the Share button, tap AirDrop, and choose the person; they tap Accept.

How to make a digital flyer on iPhone

A digital flyer is one you share as an image instead of printing, in texts, group chats, stories and email. Pick Images in the Pages export menu, or PNG or JPG in Canva and Adobe Express, instead of PDF. Tips for a flyer made on a phone screen

• Check it at wall size. A phone held close makes small type look readable. Zoom out until the whole flyer takes up about a third of the screen, and if you can't read the date and time, make them bigger.
• Dictate long details. Tap the Dictate button on the keyboard to speak the address or a price list. If you don't see it, go to Settings, General, Keyboard, and turn on Enable Dictation. Say "new line" for a line break, and spell hard names letter by letter.
• Use JPG photos. Recent iPhones can save photos in HEIF, and Apple says the older JPEG format opens on more devices and systems. In Settings, tap Camera, then Formats, then Most Compatible, and new photos are saved as JPEG.
